Johanna Eliot

President & Executive Producer

Johanna Eliot is President of Ocean Entertainment and Ocean Digital, a prominent award-winning Atlantic Canadian television production company, with its own post production facilities. Johanna has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary and is the key strategist for the Ocean group. She produces for Ocean specializing in the production of series, documentary and lifestyle television, and she has been an executive producer for other filmmakers. As an Executive Producer, Johanna has been involved in the following projects: in the documentary realm: Gemini 2001 winner Breakaway ; for feature film she has supported up and coming director/producers with, most notably: Waiting for Squeaky ; This Boy ; and Chamberpiece . She is a member of the Canadian Film and Television Producers Association, the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and The Canadian Independent Film Caucus.

 

 

 

Ann Flemming

Vice President, Business Affairs

Ann Flemming joined Ocean Entertainment as Vice President Business Affairs in 2002. Ann was previously a Production Executive at Salter Street Films, in charge of such highly acclaimed, award-winning productions as Made In Canada, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Emily of New Moon. As a Production Executive, she filled the role of producer overseeing everything through preproduction to post. From the financing, budget and contracting to the creative to the delivery and completion of each season of the series she was involved with at Salter Street Films. Prior to joining Salter Street Films, Ann worked at Charles Bishop Productions in a Business Affairs position on Foodessence, Nan's Taxi and December 1917 along with working on a number of commercial projects.

 

 

 

Sonya Jampolsky

Vice President, Development

Sonya Jampolsky joined Ocean Entertainment as Vice President Development in 2006. Her background is as a journalist for the CBC, and over ten years ago she directed Ocean Entertainment’s first documentary “Minyan on the Mira”. Since then she’s worked extensively writing, directing and producing for Film and TV. She’s made shows for many broadcasters including the CBC, CTV, the Life Network, Discovery Health, IFC, and Comedy Central. Sonya oversees the creation of new film and TV projects for Ocean Entertainment from the genesis of an idea through development. When time permits, she teaches in the film department at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She’s a past president of the Nova Scotia Film and Television Producer’s Association.

 

 

 

Jennifer Comeau

Director of Client Services & Development

Jennifer Comeau joined Ocean Entertainment in 2006 as Post Production Supervisor. Jennifer was previously an Animation Producer at Collideascope Digital; Director of Marketing and Distribution with Topsail Entertainment and a Sales and Marketing Coordinator with Salter Street Films International. With 14 years of industry experience in distribution, marketing and post production, Jennifer manages Ocean Digital, a full-service HD post video and audio facility. She is a client liaison and is active in the development and production of Ocean’s award-winning television series. She is a member of the Board of Directors of AFCOOP, Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative.
